I am unable to report a bug in JIRA. Not sure why, as I followed the procedure, and was able to log into JIRA with my account. I simply have no right to create a ticket.
Out of despair I am asking some help here to report a problem with the latest releases of hibernate-orm.
Not sure what you are asking me to retry. I am still unable to create tickets though (it seems like people who have multiple Atlassian accounts sometimes face the same problem, maybe this is the issue). And the 7.1.7 and 7.1.8 maven plugins are not on maven central yet (I did not expect it to go that fast, no worries).
I had a look and your account is considered “invited”, which probably means you forgot to verify your email address when you created your account back in 2013. I re-sent the invitation. See if that helps?
