Missing column [abilities] in table [ability]

I have jhipster application use mysql in production, but use h2 in test.
there is table which has a json column, and I use this link to do mapping, it works when running.

However, when running test, there is an error about Schema-validation:missing column [abilities] in table [ability]. the whole exception stack is:

org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'entityManagerFactory' defined in class path resource [org/springframework/boot/autoconfigure/orm/jpa/HibernateJpaAutoConfiguration.class]: Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is javax.persistence.PersistenceException: [PersistenceUnit: default] Unable to build Hibernate SessionFactory

my entity definition is (focus on the json field):

    @Type(type = "json")
    @Column(name="abilities", columnDefinition = "json")
    private List<Skill> abilities = new ArrayList<>();

How to continue? disable schema-validation? and how?

H2 does not support JSON columns. So, use integration testing only. What is the reason for testing on H2 if you use MySQL in production?

Hi Vlad, I use jhipster to develop the application, this is the behavior of the jhipster by default. I will try to find workaround currently, thanks.

If you are running integration tests on MySQL and MariaDB, you should use Docker and tmpfs to speed up tests. This will make your tests run almost as fast as on H2.
