Generating identifier with H2 2.0.x

Hi all,

It seems something is broken regarding the generation of identifiers with Hibernate and H2 version 2.0.202 and later.

The symptom and problem are described in the following H2 issue :

Null not allowed for clumn "ID"

Hi, Entity can't get identifier from h2 sequence at H2 2.0.202 It works at 1.…4.200 2.0.202 doesn't set default expression for generating identifier. is this related to [https://github.com/h2database/h2database/issues/2763](https://github.com/h2database/h2database/issues/2763)? ``` SQL Error: 23502, SQLState: 23502 NULL not allowed for column "ID"; SQL statement: insert into entitya (id, name) values (null, ?) [23502-202] ``` ``` create table entitya ( id bigint generated by default as identity, name varchar(255), primary key (id) ) ``` ``` @Entity public class EntityA { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY) Long id; String name; } ```

What do you thing about this issue ? I couldn’t find any Hibernate PR for this.
Do you think opening a PR is appropriate for this problem or am I missing something ?
What should be updated ? the H2Dialect ?
