Refering this ducoment
We find that the Book in the given example is unowned side and the Publisher is owning side. However in another document the employee which contains foreign key is owning side. It seems that these two document contradict with the other.
I don’t see how you get this idea. The Hibernate ORM documentation clearly says
The
Publisher.booksfield is called the unowned side of the association.
So the Book is the owning side, which also contains the foreign key.
It depends on whether Publisher.books refers to books or publisher. If it refers to Publisher you are right. But generally by A.b we refer the b member in A.
